National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA)
Celebrating leadership, artistry, and academic achievement in dance across the New River Valley.
Dance.tech proudly hosts a chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA), an organization that recognizes middle and high school dancers who demonstrate excellence in dance, leadership, service, and character.
Our NHSDA chapter provides dancers with opportunities to grow as artists, build community, serve others, and prepare for future college or professional paths — all within a supportive and inspiring environment.

What is NHSDA?
The National Honor Society for Dance Arts is a nationwide program developed by the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO). Its purpose is to support and honor dance students who demonstrate:
Dedication to dance training
Artistic growth and creativity
Leadership within their school or studio
Commitment to community service
Strong academic performance and integrity
Inducted students earn national recognition for their achievements — a meaningful addition to college applications, fine arts portfolios, and resumes.

Who Can Join the Dance.tech NHSDA Chapter?
Dance.tech welcomes dancers in the New River Valley who:
Are enrolled in middle school or high school
Train regularly in dance
Demonstrate responsibility, professionalism, and community spirit
Show interest in serving through dance
Wish to grow as leaders and team members
We support dancers from Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Radford, Pulaski, Floyd, and surrounding NRV communities.
If a dancer embodies curiosity, kindness, and commitment — they are encouraged to apply.
NHSDA at Dance.tech – A Place to Grow
Our NHSDA chapter offers dancers a meaningful way to deepen their training, strengthen character, and contribute to something bigger than themselves. We’re proud to recognize and uplift the young artists who make our New River Valley dance community shine.
