You might have seen us around town at basketball games, doing our small business spotlight photoshoots, partnering with Blacksburg Country Club to host Clara’s Tea Party, and more!

The Nutcracker Ballet

Our annual production of The Nutcracker has been showcased at Burruss Hall at Virginia Tech and Bondurant Auditorium at Radford University. Most recently we have found our home at the beautiful Moss Arts Center (now the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech).

Field Trips

Blacksburg Ballet has been producing two field trip performances for many years. In 2025 we are proud to offer FOUR field trip performances! This is a reduced performance length and cost intended for groups, including homeschool, preschool, college students, daycare facilities, adult care, senior facilities, or any other group that would benefit from this alternate option.

World Showcase/Land of the Sweets

Over the years we have expanded to fully honor the cultural traditions of the countries represented in Act 2 of The Nutcracker. We were proud to collaborate with Hill and Veil Bellydance group from Virginia Tech and the Blacksburg Chinese School, beginning in 2022. If you are part of a cultural group or know someone who is, please send them our way! We are on a mission to share authentic performance styles from Spain, China, Russia, France, the Arabian Peninsula, and more.
