Dance.tech Hosts First Annual Southwest Virginia Dance Festival
Blacksburg, VA—Dance.tech is excited to announce the First Annual Southwest Virginia Dance Festival (SWVADF), taking place on March 1, 2025, at its state-of-the-art studio in Blacksburg, Virginia. This exceptional event is open to dancers ages 8 and older and offers a fantastic opportunity to enhance their dance skills, learn from world-class choreographers, and connect with others who share a passion for dance.
The festival will feature a talented faculty lineup, including Sumin Jung, Nina Kempic, Rachel Rugh, Katie Wilber, and Paige Guynn. These esteemed instructors bring years of experience and a deep commitment to the art of dance. At Dance.tech, faculty members grow great people through dance by teaching life and leadership skills alongside dance techniques, creating an environment where participants not only develop their artistic abilities but also build valuable life skills.
Participants will engage in hour-long classes that focus on technique, skill-building, and artistic growth, designed for a range of experience levels. The day will conclude with a 30-minute dancer showcase, where students will perform choreography learned during the festival and share prepared pieces from their home studios.
In addition to skill-building, the festival offers an incredible opportunity to network with dancers, dance groups, and studios from across the region. The event also serves as a celebration of Dance.tech’s new 1,900 sq. ft. Studio B+, a vibrant space designed to support further the growing dance community in the New River Valley (NRV).

What to Expect: Hour-long classes focusing on technique and skill-building, culminating in a 30-minute dancer showcase.
